How to Become Thanos in Fortnite’s New Infinity Gauntlet Limited Time Mashup

Thanos, that nefarious supervillain from Marvel’s Avengers: Infinity War, has finally touched down in Fortnite’s Battle Royale. If, like everyone else in the know universe, you want to play as Thanos, you need to hop into the game and get going.

Your first order of business? Finding the Infinity Gauntlet and transforming yourself into the dastardly do-badder. Then the world is yours — what’s left of it after you get done with it, of course. Here’s how you go about doing it.

How to Find the Infinity Gauntlet in Fortnite: Battle Royale

If you want to become Thanos in Fortnite’s Battle Royale mode, the first step is finding the Infinity Gauntlet. It’ll be hidden somewhere on the map when you first start playing, after it falls to the map in a meteor found within the safe zone. You could try parachuting into the map to make things a little simpler and keep an eye out for any falling meteors, but others will likely be doing this as well.

The best advice here is to keep trying and stay alert, because everyone will probably be looking for the gauntlet to be hidden in plain sight. Be the person who checks the meteors and you should be fine.

How to Transform into Thanos in Fortnite: Battle Royale

Once you find the Infinity Gauntlet and pick it up, you’ll automatically be transformed into Thanos. You don’t need to do anything special to activate the transformation, and the gauntlet already has all the proper stones required to make it powerful. As the Mad Titan, you’ll be unable to build, use launch pads, or even weapons, but he’s ridiculously powerful as it is, so you won’t find yourself missing any of that very much. He also has a massive health bar and recharging shields. Once his health is depleted, however, it’s game over, as it won’t recharge.

What Can You Do As Thanos?

Thanos is a big, bad, beast. He’s powerful in terms of melee attacks, with a punch that can damage the map as well as players. His super jump lets him leap into the air and over buildings, and he has a powerful beam attack that will cause damage over time. He’s not forget his body slam, which will essentially obliterate wherever he lands. If you can find enemies to get to up close, you can wreck their world with his close-range combat abilities.

Players will have to work together to take you out, and with your shields and additional health bar, that’s going to be quite a bit of a challenge. As long as you stay away from big mobs of players and keep cool, you’ll be able to keep owning as Thanos for quite some time…unlucky for everyone else.
