Fortnite Mothership is one of the biggest additions to the game in Season 7. With the v17.10 patch, players are able to enter the ship and get valuable loot from it. Because of this, the Mothership is considered the best loot source in the game at the moment.
To visit this giant UFO, players will have to get abducted first. After the abduction, they will stay inside the Fortnite Mothership for a limited time. However, this short visit will drastically improve chances of winning the game!
How to get inside the Fortnite Mothership
Fortnite players cannot get inside the Mothership whenever they want. Instead, this is done at random times at a few spots on the island. The latest patch has brought Abductors, UFOs which spawn at several places on the map. Abductors float in one spot and they are capable of sending players to the Mothership.
To get inside the Fortnite Mothership, follow these steps:
- Check the map and land on an Abductor or near it
- When you hear the sound or see the light beam, get under the Abductor
- Run around or box yourself in, and after a few seconds, you will be teleported to the Mothership
Keep in mind, Abductors have plenty of loot on themselves, including floor loot and chests. The most effective strategy would be to land on this UFO, get some quick loot, and wait for the beam. However, since these platforms are new and interesting, many players visit them, so if you decide to go there, watch out for enemies!
How to get Legendary loot inside the Mothership
When they visit the Fortnite Mothership, players will be given a minute to explore and collect golden orbs. They will only have a space gun they can use to push enemies away and collect the orbs. The goal of the visit is to collect as many orbs as possible as they affect the loot quality at the end.
In order to get Legendary (gold) loot, players have to collect four orbs. These orbs are found in random places in the Mothership and players will have to use their jetpacks and lower gravity to get to them. Enemies will also try to collect these orbs, so getting them will sometimes be quite challenging. Furthermore, players cannot simply collect an orb by landing on it. It is necessary to interact with it by using the search button.
After the orb collecting phase, players will be teleported to the loot room. This room contains many supply boxes with weapons and other items. If players end up with a five-star loot, which can be done by collecting four orbs, they will get Legendary (gold) loot from each supply box.
