The fourth Battlefield 5 weekly challenge of War in the Pacific, the fifth Chapter of Tides of War, has arrived. This week, players have the chance to unlock a particularly brutal new melee weapon; a Barbed Baseball Bat! The objective nodes themselves matchmake to a new Grind playlist featuring pre-War in the Pacific maps like Rotterdam and Twisted Steel.

“A baseball bat can be a hefty weapon in itself,” says DICE, of the new Barbed Baseball Bat; “But if you wrap some barbed wire around it, it’ll be that much deadlier. Not a common weapon on the battlefield, but a useful one nonetheless”. To unlock this new weapon, you’ll need to complete Inch by Inch, the fourth War in the Pacific weekly challenge. This week, the objective nodes matchmake to a playlist which comprises Grind on the following maps: Devastation, Narvik, Operation Underground, Rotterdam, and Twisted Steel.

As such, it may be worth completing more nodes than necessary to unlock the bat.
