Kingdom Hearts 3 Release Date Will Be Announced Early Next Month

We now know when we will know the Kingdom Hearts 3 release date officially. Note that we don’t know the release date itself, but instead, when it will be announced. As we reported on previously, the world premiere press preview for Kingdom Hearts 3 took place just yesterday and we have been receiving swarms of information ever since. This time, it is related to when we can expect to see the game release after all these years of patiently waiting.

Eurogamer has revealed in its preview of the game that, while no release date has been given, Director Tetsuya Nomura has given an official statement that the announcement of the Kingdom Hearts 3 release date should be “early next month.” While this may sound like the release date will be announced at E3 2018, that could be potentially not the case. Square Enix is, surprisingly, hosting its own conference for the first time in a few years but we suspect the announcement won’t be there.

In fact, there is a different date entirely that we think the Kingdom Hearts 3 release date announcement could be on. That day is June 9th, 2018, which is more “early next month” than Square Enix’s press conference a couple of days later on June 11th. June 9th is an important day because it is the date of the official Kingdom Hearts Orchestra Concert in Los Angeles, California.

It wouldn’t be too far-fetched for the Kingdom Hearts 3 release date announcement to take place there, as similar announcements for the game have happened at concerts in the past. For instance, one of the first major story trailers for the game was released at the previous Orchestra concert held last year around the same time.

Announcing the Kingdom Hearts 3 release date at the concert next month leaves room to dive deep into the story elements and new worlds during the Square Enix press conference at E3 2018.

As for the release date itself? We think the safest bet is sometime in November this year, as that month is still pretty open and ripe for Kingdom Hearts 3 to thrive.
