Two weeks ago, just prior to the start of the Co-op Loot Drop event, Gearbox released a new batch of Borderlands 3 Golden Keys. The first batch since the launch of Guns, Love, and Tentacles, this cache includes not 2, not 3, but 10 Golden Keys, all available for free! If you haven’t yet claimed these 10 Keys, you now have just over one day to do so; the code will no longer be valid from partway through the 10th of April.
Free Borderlands 3 Golden Keys and Ongoing Events
For the time being, this huge Borderlands 3 SHiFT code is still live and available for players to redeem, although it won’t be for much longer. If you want to get your hands on 10 Golden Keys, you’ll need to claim it ASAP. As per usual for these sorts of SHiFT codes, you can redeem the code on either the Borderlands or SHiFT websites, or in the in-game Social menu. The code is as follows: C3KTJ-WF9SK-F9F6H-56TT3-CZ6FR. Note that this code will no longer be available from 11:59 PM PT on the 10th of April.
If you’re new to Borderlands 3 or otherwise unfamiliar with Golden Keys, these items are periodically released via codes by Gearbox. At present there is no other way to obtain them. Each Golden Key you have can be used to open the Golden Chest aboard Sanctuary III one time, giving you a fresh stash of level-appropriate loot each time. Typically, Keys are released individually, or in small batches. It’s rare indeed for Gearbox to release 10 all in one go.
If you have yet to claim these keys, be sure to do so before the code becomes invalid tomorrow evening. Given the wide range of events currently available in-game, now is certainly a good time to get extra loot. The ongoing Co-op Loot Drop event will be live until the end of the month, for instance. Meanwhile, Gearbox today launched Rare Chest Riches and Loot Monster Mayhem; the latest pair of weekly mini-events which take over from last week’s Slot Machine Mania and Trials Take-All.
