Far Cry 5 received the addition of a Photo Mode in a relatively recent update, giving fans the ability to photograph and document their favorite experiences in Hope County. Earlier this month, Ubisoft announced a new competition; the Far Cry 5 Photo Mode Contest: Lost on Mars. The studio challenged Far Cry fans to submit their best photos taken in the Lost on Mars DLC. Now, fans have just a few days left to enter for a chance at winning both in-game rewards and physical merchandise.
The Far Cry 5 Photo Mode Contest
Ubisoft announced the contest on social media, as well as on their website. In the update, they explained that; “From July 19th to August 2nd, to celebrate the launch of Lost on Mars, we are launching the first Far Cry Photo Mode contest. Take a break from fighting alien arachnids and tour the exotic Martian scenery with Nick Rye and Hurk. Show off your favorite takedowns with new futuristic weapons, capture jetpack action shots in zero gravity, or even take a selfie with an alien!”
The next few days will be fans’ last chance to enter the competition, which, as stated above, ends of the 2nd of August. To enter, fans must submit photos from the Lost on Mars DLC taken in the game’s new Photo Mode. (Obviously, they can’t be edited with external software.) Once you have your best shot, post it on Twitter, Facebook, or Instagram with the hashtag #FC5PhotoModeContest. Alternatively, you can publish the image in the comments section of the post announcing the contest. Note that you can only submit a single photo.
The images will be judged by members of the Far Cry Community Team. They will rate them on originality, artistic quality, and how well they tie to the Lost on Mars theme. The winners of the competition will each receive three prizes; 500 Silver Bars for the in-game store, a T-shirt for your in-game character to wear, and a physical Far Cry 5 poster.
