Last Chance for Free Access to Black Ops Cold War Zombies This Week

Last week, alongside the launch of Season 2 in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War & Warzone, Activision announced the start of a Free Access Event for the former game. For a full week, players on all platforms can access portions of the game’s Multiplayer and Zombies modes, free of charge. Now, only a few days remain to take advantage of this event.

The Black Ops Cold War Free Access Event

The latest Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Free Access Week officially began on the 25th of February. The event is due to continue into the start of next week, before ending on the morning of the 4th of March. As such, players only have a few more days to take part in the event. Over the weekend, the event ran parallel with a Double XP event, but that event will be concluding on the morning of the 1st.

For those players who have yet to take part in the Free Access Week, the event grants access to both Multiplayer and Zombies content. The latter is very much the headline feature of the event, as players are given access to Outbreak, the all-new Zombies experience which arrived new with Season 2. Outbreak is the largest Zombies map thus far, with a new approach to progression than in both Firebase Z or Die Maschine.

As for the Multiplayer component, players can currently get access to a variety of modes, maps, and playlists; all of which aim to showcase some of the newer content which arrived in Season 2. For instance, the Apocalypse 24/7 playlist is available as part of the Free Access event, which offers a range of modes on the new Apocalypse map. Other playlists in the event include 3v3 Face Off, Gunfight Blueprints, Nuketown 24/7, Team Deathmatch, and the 40-Player Multi-Team playlist.
