Last Chance to Play the Apex Legends Battle Armor Event

The Apex Legends Battle Armor event, which began almost two weeks ago, is now into its final phase; making Evo Armor available for the first time ever. However, with the launch tomorrow of Apex Legends Season 5, Battle Armor will also be coming to an end. As such, players only have a limited time to play the Battle Armor mode before it goes away on the 12th of May.

The Apex Legends Battle Armor Event

While the Apex Legends Battle Armor event is live, players can play a time-exclusive game mode called Battle Armor. In this mode, all players drop into the match with a P2020, but more importantly, only one type of armor can be found throughout the map. Every three days, this armor type has changed, from White to Blue to Purple. Now, in its final phase, the only armor to be found is Evo Armor; a totally new addition to the game.

Apex Legends Battle Armor Event Evo Armor Last Chance

Just like Evo Shields, which were added following the System Override event during Season 4, Evo Armor is armor which grows stronger the more damage you deal to enemies. Starting at White tier, Evo Armor progresses up through each other tier until becoming Orange; a tier which is stronger even than Purple Armor. At present, Evo Armor is exclusively available in the Battle Armor mode, which is due to end on the 12th of May, after the launch of Season 5.

Respawn has yet to confirm whether Evo Armor will be a permanent addition to Apex Legends. After Evo Shields were added in System Override, Respawn didn’t announce that they would be added to the game permanently until after the event. As such, Respawn may not confirm one way or the other until the end of the Battle Armor event. (After they can assess the performance of Evo Armor during the event.) Given how popular Evo Shields have become, it’s certainly a distinct possibility that Evo Armor will also become a permanent fixture for Apex Legends. However, fans will have to wait and see for now.
