On Monday, Madden 19 Ultimate Team mode launched their brand new Free Agency promotion with a number of player cards, solo challenges, and two Masters. On Tuesday, they revealed two brand new limited cards that will be available in packs. Among them is a Super Bowl MVP with Nick Foles, and a defensive standout. In addition to that, Madden unveiled some new House Rules to play under called “Half Off.”

After getting 30 free agent cards to start off the new Madden Free Agency promotion, Tuesday brought just two. However, these are special cards available for a limited time in packs. Each of the cards carries a 98 OVR score. One of those cards is for former Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Nick Foles, who pretty much everyone knows is headed to Jacksonville. Even the Madden Twitter teased Foles in the Jags jersey several times already.

He’s obviously not a top tier quarterback for MUT rosters, but a 98 Nick Foles is not a bad card to have. His Key Attributes include 98s for Throw Under Pressure and Throw Accuracy Short. He’s also got a 96 Throw Accuracy for Mid-Range, 95 Throw Power, and 94 Throw on the Run. As soon as it’s officially a signed deal with him for the Jaguars, his Team Chemistry will update.

There’s also Anthony Barr with a sweet 98 OVR LTD card as well. The “Lurk Gawd” brings Key Attributes such as 96 Play Recognition, 93 Acceleration, 92 Tackle, and 91 Speed.

Barr has played with the Minnesota Vikings since the 2014 season and 338 tackles, 13.5 sacks, four fumble recoveries, and an interception. Reports indicate he could be headed to the New York Jets in free agency. Once he makes a decision to sign somewhere, gamers will also see his Team Chemistry updated.

The defensive linebacker sent out a special message to all of the Madden Ultimate Team gamers using him as part of their roster.

Both the Nick Foles and Anthony Barr LTD cards are available in the MUT packs for just 48 hours so act quickly if you’re trying to score one of these for your roster. You can also continue working on the Set goal by acquiring 23 Free Agents to get one of those Masters Le’Veon Bell or Earl Thomas III cards.

Madden 19 House Rules: Half Off promotion underway

We received a previous House Rules promotion where touchdowns scored from certain parts of the field were worth double points. In the new Head-to-Head House Rules, we’ve got “Half Off” rules going on. Those apply to first downs, as they’ve cut them in half. You’re starting the first down at 1st and 5, but you’ve only got two tries to make a first down. That’s not too bad considering it’s a mere five yards but depends on what defense you’re facing.

In previous Madden House Rules, gamers had to achieve a 6-0 record to get special rewards, or they’d restart over again. In this promotion, all you’ve got to do is win 10 games, using the Half Off House Rules in Head-to-Head competition. If you get those 10 wins, you’ll get a NAT Combine Star Pack of your choice (1 of 3) as well as Coins and Series Trophies. This latest House Rules promotion will run until 10:30 a.m. Eastern Time on Thursday (Mar. 14).
