Madden 20 Simulation for 2020 Season Yields Playoff Bracket With Lamar Jackson and Ravens, Tom Brady’s Bucs as Top Seeds

The NFL season is quickly approaching and many football fans are hoping it will stay on track with games to enjoy. In anticipation of what’s to come, The Checkdown has been running a full 2020 NFL season simulation. Now that they’ve completed the regular season schedule, it’s on to the playoffs! Their postseason bracket gives fans a tease at what may occur in the real NFL, with Tom Brady leading the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to a top seed.

Madden 20 simulation produces virtual playoff bracket

With professional sports, the games are played in order to eventually determine the best of the best. Based on The Checkdown’s recently-revealed Madden 20 simulation, quarterback Tom Brady continues to excel even in Tampa Bay.

The virtual playoff bracket shows that he led the Buccaneers to a No. 1 seed in the NFC after the team was nowhere near that spot this past season. Brady’s Bucs went 12-4 overall, which isn’t completely unrealistic. That record edged out Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers (11-5) and the 10-6 Dallas Cowboys.

On the AFC side, the upcoming Madden 21 cover star Lamar Jackson helped his team attain an NFL-best record of 14-2. That would make for the second-straight year that Lamar and company got that spot. However, just behind them at No. 2 are the reigning Super Bowl champions. The Madden 20 cover r athlete Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs finished 13-3 overall.

Here’s a look at how all of the teams finished including Mr. Brady’s former team going just 5-11 in the first season without him in a long time.

Based on The Checkdown’s Madden 20 simulation, former No. 1 pick Baker Mayfield will lead the Cleveland Browns to a playoff appearance. That will be more than welcomed in the city where expectations continue to stay high for their QB.

Last season’s top rookie offensively was the Arizona Cardinals’ Kyler Murray. Based on their major roster upgrade to add former Madden 99 club member DeAndre Hopkins, it appears Murray will find a spot in the postseason.

Playoffs bracket, when and where to watch

With that, we now have a look at The Checkdown’s playoff bracket. It’ll feature the Buccaneers and Ravens as the top seeds in the AFC and NFC, respectively. Tampa Bay awaits the winner of the No. 4 seed Seattle Seahawks vs. No. 5 seed New Orleans Saints. Just imagine a Brady vs. Breeds playoff showdown!

In the AFC, Lamar Jackson and Baltimore will wait for the winner of the No. 4 Buffalo Bills vs. No. 5 Tennessee Titans. They may want to avenge this past postseason’s loss to Derrick Henry’s squad, but most likely Lamar wants to advance to the Super Bowl like fellow cover star Pat Mahomes.

According to The Checkdown’s bracket above, they’ll be presenting the Madden 20 simulation of their playoff results on their @EAMaddenNFL Twitter page. In addition, viewers can watch for results via their official Facebook page here.

Will there by a virtual Super Bowl with Tom Brady’s Buccaneers against Lamar Jackson’s Ravens? Will Patrick Mahomes lead the Chiefs back to the title game? Stay tuned as this should get interesting!
