Madden 20 Superstar KO Adds Hip-Hop Stars Migos and Joey Bada$$ as Football Players
The Madden 20 Superstar KO mode continues to merge the worlds of football and hip-hop as they’ve added new musical artists to the mode. With the latest update, hip-hop group Migos and rapper Joey Bada$$ have become new options for Superstar KO teams’ offense and defense. Here are the latest details on the new players in the mode.
Migos, Joey Bada$$ join Madden 20 Superstar KO as new players
There are four new playable character options in Madden 20 Superstar KO. All three members of the group Migos are now part of the mode. Quavo is a quarterback, Offset plays halfback and Takeoff is a wide receiver. For the defense, there’s Joey Bada$$ who they’ve named Bad Mon in the game. He plays at the strong safety position.
Each of the hip-hop stars has a special ability too. For Offset, it’s First One Free. Takeoff has Satellite and Bad Mon has Shutdown for his ability. Quavo has Blitz Radar to highlight extra blitzers after the ball is snapped.
EA’s Madden NFL 20 social media released a quick teaser video just to show off the mode’s new hip-hop stars in their Superstar KO gear.
What is Superstar KO mode?
Madden 20 Superstar KO is a fast mode that currently features eight teams: Odell Beckham Jr.’s Dot City, Bruce Arian’s Snappers, Sean McVay’s Record Breakers, Jen Welter’s Shutdown, Jon Gruden’s Rhythm, John Madden’s Fundamentals, DJ Khaled’s Florida Keys, and Lil Yachty’s Backyard Heroes.
With each team, comes different styles of play and different options for superstar players. To assemble teams, gamers go through and choose from all-time greats and athletic celebrities that are now in the game.
In addition to Migos and Joey Bada$$ are DJ Khaled, Lil Yachty, and Snoop Dogg. Amongst the all-time great NFL stars are Randy Moss, Michael Vick, Lawrence Taylor, and Deion Sanders.
In Superstar KO, each team gets a drive to try to score a touchdown. Once one team scores, the other has to match it. An interception will end the game for the team that’s ahead, though.
There’s no special teams involved so there won’t be field goals, punts, or kick returns. There are also other fun rules that come into place such as expanding endzones and a tug-of-war when games remain tied.
Right now, the Superstar KO mode is offering a milestone MUT Player item. With 500 rushing yards achieved in the mode, gamers will get a free NAT 87 OVR Marcus Allen card to use on their Ultimate Team.
