Madden 20 Team of the Week 8 Revealed: Tevin Coleman, Nick Bosa Among Top MUT TOTW Cards

The new Madden 20 Team of the Week 8 has been unveiled as of Tuesday morning and is bringing Nick Bosa back to the group. Bosa’s stellar performance in the San Francisco 49ers’ victory over the Carolina Panthers this past Sunday is certainly deserving. However, his card may not be impressing everyone in the community. In addition, there are a number of other players who are on Ultimate Team’s newest TOTW lineup.

EA’s Madden Twitch stream on Tuesday (Oct. 29) presented the “work in progress” Madden 20 Team of the Week 8. The players are work in progress due to the Monday Night Football game being late and potentially having more additions. However, we would be surprised if the top-tier cards don’t remain the same. That includes two stars from the 49ers as Tevin Coleman and Nick Bosa get new items.

Now, let’s take a look at 49ers’ defensive star Nick Bosa’s card which is a controversial item for TOTW. It’s bringing out the upset members of the gaming community as the stats are good, but not good enough in many people’s opinions.

Nick Bosa’s new defensive Hero item is a 91 overall card with 91 Acceleration, 88 Tackle, 86 Finesse Moves, 84 Play Recognition, and 84 Strength. Bosa’s Rookie Premiere also gets a nice upgrade because of this to 91 OVR. Many gamers feel his speed and other stats leav something to be desired here, though. Bosa will work fine for some 49ers theme teams.

For the Madden 20 Team of the Week 8 Offensive Hero, Julian Edelman also gets a 91 OVR card and his includes Power Up. The New England Patriots’ wide receiver has 94 Short Route Run, 87 Catching, and 84 Speed amongst key attributes. Once again, that speed leaves something to be desired. Here’s the card as revealed on the EA Madden Twitch stream.

Who are the other TOTW 8 players?

Those players above are the “best” of the group in terms of the OVRs, but there are a number of others to go after in packs. That includes New York Giants rookie quarterback Daniel Jones who continues to impress, despite his team losing to the Detroit Lions. The Lions also get a new player here with an 85 OVR Devon Kennard following that win over the Giants. The Titans’ Harold Landry III and Texans TE Darren Fells get 87 OVR cards.

There’s more, though! New Orleans Saints QB Taysom Hill, Chicago Bears’ rookie David Montgomery and Seahawks’ rookie D.K. Metcalf are amongst Team of the Week 8 as well. Here’s a look at the remaining eight players, who as mentioned are all “work in progress” items until they’re released.

The new TOTW arrives as of 2 p.m. Eastern Time in Madden 20 Ultimate Team. They’ll be available in Madden TOTW packs and bundles, or through the Ultimate Team Auction Browser.

In addition, make sure to check out the new in-game TOTW Challenges for Hero players Nick Bosa and Julian Edelman. Earning a total of six stars can help gain a free TOTW player as well as a Team of the Year Token as part of an exchange set.
