With Madden NFL 20 currently available as part of the EA Play library, it’s now time for the newer title to join the listings. The official Madden 21 EA Play release date will be Tuesday, March 2. As of that date, gamers with the membership can enjoy the full game through EA Play, including popular modes such as Face of the Franchise, The Yard, and Ultimate Team.
EA Play members will also receive access to other titles and benefits. Some of the other games in the library right now include FIFA 20, NHL 20, NHL Rewind 94, Rocket Arena, and Need for Speed Heat.
Based on details via an Xbox Wire report, EA Play members receive three Gold Team Fantasy MUT Packs each month. EA Play also gives a discount on select items at the Madden Store, including packs or Madden Points. Also, there is special in-game content that only EA Play members can unlock and benefit from playing.
Madden 21 originally released on Android iOS back on August 6, 2020, with the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Windows PC version dropping August 28. On December 4, the game officially arrived on the next-gen PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. As of January 28, 2021, the game was released on the Google Stadia platform.
The game currently holds a 63 score for PC and PS4 with a 69 score on Xbox One via Metacritic’s aggregate reviews and ratings. However, its popularity has been undeniable as it’s really the only football game that sports fans can play at the moment. A new college football game will also be on the way, most likely later this year.
How to join and latest membership deal
EA Play is a membership service currently available for PlayStation, Xbox, Origin, and Steam. Ahead of the Madden 21 EA Play release date, there is a special deal for any new members. Sign up before March 9 to enjoy a 99 cent membership for just the first month.
After that first month at 99 cents, new members will pay the full monthly rate. That depends on which plan is selected when joining. A basic console membership costs $4.99 per month and gives access to the library of games. Members can opt to pay monthly or pay $29.99 for a full-year membership.
An Xbox Game Pass for PC membership is $9.99 per month and includes access to the games, Xbox Game Studio games available on the day of release, and various membership discounts or deals.
Lastly, the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate membership costs $14.99 per month. There are other benefits in addition to the access to top EA titles, rewards, and members-only content. That includes Xbox Game Studio games on the day of release, free perks, Xbox Live Gold, and the ability to play games on Android mobile phones or tablets from the cloud.
