Madden 21 Power Up Expansion Group 3: More Upgraded Cards Added to Ultimate Team

Madden 21 Ultimate Team has received a new group of cards as part of the Power Up Expansion series. With the series, some of the pre-existing players in need of upgrades for their Power Up items have received them. That said, it’s only a select group and may not please all fans looking for Power Up player items. Let’s check out which players are featured in Madden 21 Power Up Expansion Group 3 including Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Amari Cooper.

Amari Cooper amongst Madden 21 Power Up Expansion Group 3 players

On Tuesday, May 25, around 11 a.m. Eastern Time, the newest bunch of Madden 21 Power Up Expansion cards became available in Ultimate Team. Cowboys receiver Amari Cooper is amongst those players, with his card also great for Raiders theme teams. The new Amari card can upgrade to 98 overall. Attributes can go to 96 Speed, 98 Short Route Run, 96 Catching, 95 Deep Route Run, and 94 Catch in Traffic.

Joining Cooper amongst Group 3 is quarterback Matt Leinhart who also can work with the Raiders, in addition to the Cardinals or Texans. His new item from Madden 21 Power Up Expansion can also reach 98 OVR when fully upgraded. It includes 99 Short Accuracy, 97 Medium Accuracy, 96 Throw Under Pressure, 95 Throw Power, and 95 Deep Accuracy.

Four other players were also added with Group 3 including Panthers defensive end Charles Johnson as well as Browns and Colts left end D’Qwell Jackson. Andrew Norwell has a card for the Panthers or Jaguars, while Super Bowl champion Dre’ Bly can be used with the Rams, Lions, Broncos or 49ers.

In the previous group of players with Power Up upgrades, we saw another wide receiver added to the available cards with the Colts’ Reggie Wayne. That second group also included defensive tackle Sheldon Richardson and center Matt Birk with new Power Up items.

Some Madden gamers have been disappointed in the selection and number of players released thus far. However, there’s also speculation that a 99 OVR Power Up series could arrive in the future. It seems Ultimate Team still has a bit of content left to provide before fans look towards Madden 22.

Card prices and how they work for Ultimate Team

With Power Up cards, gamers will need to upgrade them by using Madden Training. Each upgrade tier boosts them to a higher OVR and attributes but will cost more Training. There’s also the possibility to use some of that player’s special themed cards they may have had released along the way. In addition, Power Up passes may be usable on some tiers.

These new Power Up Expansion cards will be popping up randomly in packs for gamers to use. They’re also all selling right now at the Madden Auction House for various prices. For example, Amari Cooper’s item is about 2,300 Madden Coins on the PlayStation and Xbox platforms. That’s not too steep, as other Power Up cards have gone for much higher, depending on the player.

Leinart’s card is about 1,500 Coins or higher. Norwell cards are going for 1,700 or higher, while Bly’s items are among the highest of the bunch, going for 2,300 Coins or more.
