Madden 21 Rookie QB Ratings: Joe Burrow, Tua Tagovailoa Lead New Rookie Quarterbacks

When it comes to the new class of rookie quarterbacks in the NFL, there’s no question as to who EA’s Madden believes are the top stars. The No. 1 draft pick Joe Burrow, who will play for the Cincinnati Bengals leads all rookies with the top rating. He’s followed by another potential future star, Tua Tagovailoa of the Miami Dolphins. Here’s a look at the new Madden 21 rookie QB ratings for the upcoming game.

Burrow, Tagovailoa headline Madden 21 rookie QB ratings

In the 2020 NFL Draft, the Cincinnati Bengals opted to take LSU’s Joe Burrow as their top pick, hoping he’ll take over for Andy Dalton as the team’s star QB. Burrow led LSU to the National Championship in 2019 and also captured the Heisman trophy in an impressive season. He was featured in the Madden 21 game trailer that arrived weeks ago.

In terms of Madden 21 rookie QB ratings, Burrow tops all players with a 76 overall. Burrow also ranks No. 1 amongst rookies for Agility with an 82 and third for strength with a 72. Burrow has the best Short (88), Medium (84), and Deep Accuracy (85) ratings for rookie QBs. Other attributes for the Bengals’ rookie QB include 86 Acceleration, 83 Speed, and 86 Throwing Power.

Coming in second amongst the Madden 21 rookie QB ratings is Tua Tagovoila of the Miami Dolphins. The Alabama star quarterback will look to help out a Miami Dolphins team that provided some exciting moments last season as they finished 5-11 and last in the AFC North.

Tagovoila gets a 73 OVR for the new game with 85 Acceleration, 81 Speed, and 79 Agility. However, he outranks Burrow 88 to 86 for Throw Power and 69-67 for Carrying.

Meanwhile, the best speed amongst rookie quarterbacks is an 86 for three players: Cole McDonald (Titans), Jalen Hurts (Eagles), Tyler Huntley (Ravens).

The Eagles’ Hurts gets the best Agility amongst rookie QBs with an 88, followed by John Wolford (Chargers) at 87. Hurts is also the strongest rookie quarterback with a 72 rating there, followed by Herbert at 71.

Keep in mind these ratings numbers can move up or down once the game arrives and as the NFL season goes forth based on the rookies’ performances. Ratings adjustors will be keeping an eye on their games to see who might need numbers moved up or down.

Burrow is available in Madden 20 Rookie Premiere program through exchange sets which give gamers Burrow’s dynamic card in Madden 21. It will upgrade along with any promotional cards that come Burrow’s way in the new game. He’s the only QB of the upcoming class available through the program.
