Madden 21 The 50 Promo Launches With Stacked Player Cards, Weekly Challenges

With Series 2 starting in Madden 21 Ultimate Team, it meant the arrival of plenty of new content. We previously revealed new Theme or Team Builders players, with one for every NFL team now available. In addition, there’s the new Madden 21 The 50 Promo. This will feature weekly challenges allowing gamers to earn players who helped influence the Madden franchise.

First Madden 21 The 50 promo players revealed

In addition to Team Builders 2 players, a new Madden 21 The 50 promo launched on Friday. It features eight players available at launch, each with a Stacked 91 OVR card. Former halfback Reggie Bush leads the way with his 91 overall card for the New Orleans Saints. Bush’s card has 91 Speed, 91 Change of Direction, 91 Agility, and 89 Break Tackle.

Also featured are tight end Jimmy Graham, free safety Brian Dawkins, left end Reggie White, ROLB Derrick Brooks, CB Nnamdi Asomugha, and wide receiver Tyrone Calico. The tweet below includes a GIF to cycle through each of their new cards. They are also available with all the specifics in the MUTHEAD database.

Each of the eight players gets the Stacked card (91 OVR), a Fresh card (81 OVR), and a Power Up item as part of Madden 21 The 50 promo. The Fresh cards can be exchanged in sets to get a Stacked version of a player. Every Friday, EA will unveil three new players who are part of the promotion.

New challenges and Exchange sets

As mentioned, there are new exchange sets as part of the promotion. There is an exchange set for each of the Stacked versions of the players above. In order to get that card, you’ll need 32 of any 81 overall Fresh cards in the set. A second exchange set allows gamers to trade in eight 75-79 OVR Gold player cards for an 81 OVR Fresh card.

There are also 16 Weekly Challenges as part of Madden 21 The 50 promo. For Week 1, each of the eight players above has two different challenges, each worth a Star apiece. At eight Stars, gamers earn an 81 OVR Fresh NAT card. At 16 Stars, gamers earn a second 81 OVR Fresh NAT card.

Ultimate Team also has 20 Launch Week Challenges available for The 50. Each of these is worth up to three Stars and 400 Coins in total. There are Milestone rewards here too, with another Fresh NAT card available after six Stars, 12 Stars, and 18 Stars. More prizes arrive at 30 Stars and beyond.

The 50 seems somewhat similar to the Legends or last year’s NFL 100 promo. So far, a lot of commenters in the Good Morning Madden Twitch chat seemed excited over this new release for Series 2. Early on, the Eagles and Saints theme teams seem to be getting a good deal with two players each.

We’ll definitely be interested to see what other players pop up as part of this promotion. With that in mind, it may be smart to wait to see who else arrives before putting effort into any of the first eight players, unless they are a good fit for your MUT roster!
