Madden NFL 22 Features Added for The Yard, Superstar KO Mode

Two of the newer game modes for EA’s Madden franchise will make their return, as The Yard and Superstar KO are both revealed as back with new updates. They’ll have some interesting Madden NFL 22 features involved, one of which will benefit another mode. In addition, Superstar KO will add team rosters, making for the ability to have more unique rapid-fire games. Here are the updates coming to these two Madden 22 modes.

Madden NFL 22 features in The Yard include Player Classes, Live Events

Madden NFL 22 features The Yard, a backyard-style of football that was first introduced in Madden 21. It features trick plays and uptempo style of games played in a variety of different venues. In Madden NFL 22, there will be

There are eight venues in Madden 22’s The Yard. They’ll include Hawaii, London, Italy, Miami, Green Bay, Berlin, Nike HQ, and Military Base. The London venue is one of the new additions (below).

According to the EA Gridiron Notes, these will each have an unlockable challenge in a Mastery Game. To get to that, you’ll have to win the other games at the venue. Each venue will also have unique rewards with CRED and REP and exclusive gear to earn.

A new exclusive feature in Madden 22’s The Yard will be Player Recruitment. Gamers will go up against “high-profile superstar bosses from the NFL” and be able to recruit them for future games. They also mentioned a new option for “auto-draft” will be available before each game, to jump quickly into the action.

There will be new LIVE Events coming to The Yard. The first one they mention is called Superstar Clash and is a five-game gauntlet against Pro Bowl competition. There will be other Live Events during the season that sync up with various NFL events.

One other important note is that The Yard will have Unified Progression with Face of the Franchise for Player Classes. What this means is gamers will be able to level up and unlock certain abilities in one mode that will carry over to the other mode. So that makes it possible to upgrade players’ abilities and attributes by playing in both modes.

Superstar KO mode adds NFL rosters

Superstar KO also makes its return to Madden 22. This mode was also introduced in recent years. It integrated other celebrities into Madden including hip-hop stars like DJ Khaled, Lil Yachty, Migos, and Snoop Dogg. Gamers could use these players alongside current stars and NFL legends on their rosters.

That will get a new update. One of the big additions for Superstar KO mode in Madden NFL 22 features will be NFL rosters. That’s right, gamers will be able to choose from all 32 NFL teams for Superstar KO games. In addition, gamers will choose which team’s offensive and defensive playbooks to use. Games can be 1v1, 2v2, and 3v3, and there’s also a “play a friend” feature.

The way Superstar KO mode works is each team gets one drive to score and the most points win. If there’s a tie, a tiebreaker happens with a Tug of War mini-game. Gamers can play the mode in 1v1, or team with friends for 2v2 and 3v3 games.

There is also the option to play Superstar KO using traditional NFL rules and overtime. This is can also be 1v1, 2v2, or 3v3 games. Just like other modes, gamers can earn special rewards through Superstar KO which will update throughout the season.
