Metro Exodus Full Strength Trophy: How to Stop Damir From Leaving

The Metro Exodus Full Strength trophy is one of the toughest to get as you play through the game; primarily because there’s not much indication of what to do to fulfil it. However, getting it is likely to go hand-in-hand with getting the “good” ending, so fans are recommended to make the extra effort to complete its three steps. To get Full Strength, you need to first ensure that Duke stays alive in the Volga. After that, you need to make sure that Damir doesn’t leave in the Caspian. Finally, you need to stop Alyosha from getting wounded in the Taiga. This guide will focus on the second step; stopping Damir from leaving.

Metro Exodus Full Strength Trophy: How to Stop Damir From Leaving in the Caspian

Ensuring that Damir doesn’t leave is a bit trickier than keeping Duke alive, and there are more steps involved. Just like in the first step, your primary objective is to avoid killing innocent people. What’s problematic this time is that this means not killing the Munar-Bailer slaves; slaves who will attack you on the orders of their masters. While you can generally kill the slavers themselves without repercussions for Damir, it can be difficult to distinguish between slaves and slavers, especially in a firefight. As such, it’s recommended to just avoid lethal combat with human enemies as much as possible, so as to minimise the chances of an accidental slave kill. Use stealth and nonlethal take-downs.

After you meet Giul at the lighthouse and enter the abandoned bunker, you’ll have your first specific objective; recover the photo of Giul’s mother. This photograph is deep in the bunker but isn’t too difficult to find. At one stage, you’ll find a door ahead of you sealed, and you need to use a ventilation duct to get around it. When you turn right, leaving the main corridor to search for the ventilation access, you’ll enter a square room with glass windows on the right-hand wall. On the left-hand side is a door, and the photograph is in the arms of a corpse in the office beyond.

Freeing the Slaves Around the Caspian

The next objective comes when you reach the oasis where the slavers get their water. As before, you must not harm any of the slaves at the oasis. However, you also need to specifically free some slaves. At the top of the bucket lift, in the slaver camp, there are a couple of slaves being held in a locked cage. Kill the guard dog, break the lock, and release the slaves inside.

After completing the oasis, you will need to complete one of the three side missions which Anna tells you about after you complete the bunker. This mission is located on the coast, at the mid-point of the large bay, and takes place in a shipwreck. Anna notes that this is where the slaves hold their captives. Fortunately, there are no slave warriors here, so you are free to kill all of the guards. Once you reach the bridge of the ship, go out onto the balcony to find a lever. Pulling the lever will release a group of slaves. Now, take the zipline which is next to the lever, and a handle near to the other end will open a final cage.

At the end of the Caspian chapter, avoid killing any of the slaves inside the slaver stronghold. If you completed all of the steps of this sequence successfully, Damir will leave with you and will not stay to help Giul.
