Metro Exodus Gets New Game Plus in Major New Ranger Update

The first major update for Metro Exodus has now released on all platforms. ‘The Ranger Update,’ as it is known, brings the normal bug fixes and stability improvements players would expect. However, it also brings the addition of a Metro Exodus New Game Plus mode.

This is a significant update that adds a  host of new features, making improvements across the board and addresses numerous bugs and issues. We’d like to thank our players for your help in identifying these issues. Our goal has always been to ship the most polished product we can at lunch.”

Metro Exodus Ranger Update Adds New Game Plus Mode 2

The Metro Exodus Ranger Update is available to download and is 6 GB in total. The full patch notes for the update are available on the game’s official website. The main new feature is the addition of Metro Exodus New Game Plus. This new mode becomes accessible once you complete the story. After that point, you can choose to start a new game in New Game Plus. All weapons and attachments unlocked in your previous playthrough will be available in this mode. According to 4A Games, the mode will also feature; “a range of variables to create your own personal and uniquely challenging experience, and comes with new Achievements /Trophies.”

In addition to new game plus, the latest Metro Exodus patch also improves controller responsiveness, another boost for RTX and DTSS on PC, and a direct/feedback request system for players. Along with a wide variety of smaller tweaks and improvements throughout the game, the Ranger Update also adds full localisation for Ukraine; 4A Games’ home country.
