MLB The Show 19: 5th Inning Bosses Include Bob Gibson, Lou Gehrig, and Josh Donaldson

MLB The Show 19 has revealed the 5th inning Bosses. Bosses have become a very popular part of The Show, and the newest three are going to be a hit with gamers. Signature Series cards for Bob Gibson, Lou Gehrig, and Josh Donaldson have arrived!

Bob Gibson Boss

St. Louis pitcher Bob Gibson was one of the best to take the mound in the 1960s and ’70s. The hard-throwing right-hander was one of the most intimidating figures in the game during his prime – and for good reason. After all, when you are talking about someone who pitched 17 years and had a career ERA of 2.91, that is a boss!

Gibson was the first 5th Inning Boss revealed as The Show tweeted out a tease promo on Wednesday afternoon. The big man has an OVR of 99.

Lou Gehrig, Josh Donaldson join 5th inning Bosses

What can you say about the man known as “The Iron Horse?” Lou Gehrig was one of the best hitters to ever play the game. His numbers were great, however, if he had more time to play the game he loved so much, they would have been even better.

In the end, it was ALS that ended Gehrig’s playing days, but right until his final season, he was a hitting machine. Even at the age of 35, one year before he left the game, Gehrig hit 29 home runs and drove in 114.

Just like Bob Gibson, Lou Gehrig is also a well-deserved 99 OVR 5th inning boss.

Last but not least is Josh Donaldson, Donaldson is having a great year for the surging Atlanta Braves. Now Donaldson joins rare-air as he enters Boss status. Like Bob Gibson and Lou Gehrig, JD is a 99 OVR Signature Series Diamond.
