A lot of MLB The Show news broke over the weekend, including a new Cliff Lee Moments card! The path to obtaining this card was created by Shelfy and the Sony developers. It has some very cool moments gamers need to complete to cash in not only to get the latest Diamond, but add Stubs and XP rewards as well.
Cliff Lee domination
Cliff Lee was one of the best lefties in the game during his time on the hill. Now MLB The Show fans can obtain a Legend Cliff Lee (Diamond, 90 OVR SP) in the SonyPartners Moments Mode.
These Moments were conjured up by Shelfy based on his favorite memories of the Philadelphia Phillies over the years. Just like many of us, Shelfy has a ton of baseball memories stored up in his brain, and in his latest YouTube video, he explained just how gamers can complete these Moments and cash in.
Moments that lead to Lee
Below are just three of the Moments that gamers can complete to earn the Cliff Lee Diamond. Be sure to watch the video, or just head to the Moments Mode to see them all.
First up is Shelfy Vs. Mills. With the game tied in the bottom of the 9th, you need to win this game in walk-off fashion with Shelfy and his squad. Mills, a dominant closer molded from former Orioles closer, Zack Britton, is in to keep you from scoring. The reward for this Moment is 125 Stubs, 1000 XP.
The second Moments challenge is becoming Cliff Lee – the dominator. Cliff Lee shut out the Braves to notch his fifth complete game shutout of the 2011 season. That is insane! Player (you) are locked in as Cliff Lee and you need to replicate his phenomenal performance in a 6-inning game with one win, six strikeouts, and no runs allowed. This Moment will earn gamers 125 Stubs and 800 XP.
Finally, Shelfy nominated Bryce Harper & Charlie Blackmon for this Moment. After taking the poll to Twitter, fans chose Harper over Blackmon, who won out obtaining 56-percent of 8,000 votes. Now you must become Bryce and complete this Moments mission.
Your player is locked in as Bryce Harper for a 9-inning game. You must achieve hitting 1 home run and driving in 3 runs just as the MLB The Show 19 cover athlete did during an April 20th win over Colorado. The Harper Moment also is worth 125 Stubs and 800 XP.
If you complete these three Moments. along with the others mention in Shelfy’s video, you can earn a total of 5500 XP and 925 Stubs.
