MLB The Show 19 Gameplay Simulation: Red Sox vs. Yankees May 30

Here we go! The red-hot New York Yankees will host their arch rival, the Boston Red Sox in Game 1 of a four-game set in the Bronx starting Thursday evening. Every time the Red Sox and Yankees meet it is a big game, however, this series may mean a bit more to the BoSox than the Bombers right now.

Yankees could do damage

The New York Yankees are currently in first place in the AL East and they hold a 7-game lead over the Boston Red Sox. It is way too early to hit the panic button for the defending champs, but if New York wins this series they could take a double-digit lead over Boston heading into June.

What is even more scary about that? New York is (and has been) without a lot of their star players for several weeks, including Aaron Judge and Giancarlo Stanton.

That being said, let us not underestimate the Red Sox. This lineup is stacked and it is just a matter of time before they start clicking on all cylinders.

Gameplay results

So, who will win tonight’s big Red Sox vs. Yankees game? The MLB Network ran a Gameplay simulation and here is how it played out!

The Red Sox strike first on a Mookie Betts solo home run giving them a quick 1-0 lead. Little did fans know that was just the beginning of the long ball.

After the Yankees tied the game, Luke Voit crushes a home run that would give New York a 4-1 lead. The lead was short-lived thanks to Rafael Devers. Devers helped the BoSox battle back as he crushed a 3-run homer tying the game at 4-4 and sending the game to extra innings.

They played 3 extra frames and in the end, it was Gary Sanchez who played the hero. Sanchez singled in the bottom of the 12th driving in the game-winning run and giving the Yankees a 5-4 victory.
