MLB The Show 19 Home Run Derby: April Leaders From AL, NL Battle It Out

With the month of April coming to a close, a few players don’t want to see it end! Namely Milwaukee’s Christian Yelich, Oakland’s Khris Davis, Los Angeles’ Cody Bellinger, and the Twins Eddie Rosario. The first month of the 2019 MLB season has been very kind to these four. This group of top four sluggers are atop the home run leaderboard heading into May, but which one of them can take home the MLB The Show Home Run Derby title for April?

Home Run Derby Christian Yelich vs. Khris Davis

As of today (April 29), Cody Bellinger and Christian Yelich are tied for the lead in home runs in the NL with 14. In the AL, Eddie Rosario leads the league with 11, followed by Khris Davis at 10. At this pace, all four of these players would clear the 50-home run mark in 2019.

In the latest MLB The Show Home Run Derby simulation, deciding the winner between these four took a tie-breaker round!

First up, Christian Yelich took on Khris Davis. From a power hitting point of view, Kris Davis seems like a runaway. However, with an update expected soon from The Show, Yelich’s numbers will surely change for the better.

Right now, Christian Yelich’s 67 rating is bound to skyrocket after his April. The same can be said for Eddie Rosario. Rosario is at a 56 rating. That may climb 10 points or more after the next update. Khris Davis, however, came in at a 92 rating and he is living up to that number!

Cody Bellinger vs. Eddie Rosario

In the other matchup, Cody Bellinger and Eddie Rosario battled it out to see who would advance to the final round. Now while I don’t want to post who won this MLB The Show 19 Home Run Derby battle royal, I will say that the finals come down to Christian Yelich and Cody Bellinger.
