Moon Studios Announcement Will “Surprise the Whole Industry”

To say that gamers were happy with seeing the sudden boom of Metroidvania style games would be an understatement. Plenty of gamers have been happy with the return of the neglected genre. One of the most awaited games of this kind is Ori and the Will of the Wisps. Developed by Moon Studios, the sequel to Ori and the Blind Forest has garnered quite the following.

However, the development team at Moon Studios hinted at a future announcement. A few days ago, a report by Gamingbolt revealed a message made by Thomas Maler. This message was revealed to be a promise for a very important announcement that might “Surprise the whole industry”.

The Moon Studios Announcement that is Going to Shock the World

According to its CEO, the next Moon Studios announcement will shake the entire industry

According to the report, Thomas Maler wrote this message on the message board of an Austrian podcast called SHOCK2. While the post itself is written in German, a rough translation suggests that Moon Studios has done pretty well as of late.

“Of course, it helps us more and more, when people buy our titles directly, but we’ve made a very good deal with the Microsoft Team.” Said Thomas Maler. “One of my motivations behind it was that at Blind Forest I often realized that there were some ‘platformer muffles’ who were not so motivated at first to give Ori a chance. Once they did it, though, they stuck around and found favor with Ori despite a lot of platforming elements.”

The CEO of Moon Studios soon dropped the bomb shortly afterward, saying that there will be Ori news coming up really soon. Not only that, but apparently this set of news will surprise the whole industry according to him.

It might as well be some sort of way to hype up an announcement on Ori’s release date. However, this hint could also mean some sort of announcement for another sequel. It could also very well be an announcement for a Switch or PS4 port. Who knows? One thing’s for sure. It definitely will be interesting to see what happens with Moon Studios in the upcoming months.
