More Battlefield V Gameplay Information Revealed By DICE

More information about the Battlefield V Gameplay have been revealed yesterday by DICE in an extensive blog post on the game’s website. The post covers almost all aspect of its multiplayer mode from movement and aiming to building and dynamic environment.

As DICE has also revealed last week, Battlefield V gameplay will be more immersive than ever. This, according to the company, spans visuals and sounds, your soldier’s movement, combat situations, how you will shape the environment and vice versa, and how players will act and react more naturally than before.

Keeping immersion in mind, Battlefield V gameplay will feature a new revamped movement system which affects both looks and plays. Backpedal is now available along with jumping through windows and more. What’s even more important is the opportunity to sprint while crouch, giving you the option to find so much more shooting places. Regarding that in addition to the new dynamic environment, DICE points out:

You will react to the world, but the world will also react to you. Move through tall grass, and the vegetation will move around you. This kind of thing is not just a neat effect – it will also affect gameplay; you may, for instance, notice a hidden sniper thanks to this.

If that newly discovered Scout gets killed, you’ll see our heavier and more physical ragdoll system kick in. A body tumbling down a hill will kick up dirt and if it lands in a puddle, mud will splash.

Aiming has been kept exactly how the team wants it to be, except the addition of penetration. In Battlefield V, if you’re wielding an LMG, a stationary weapon, or similar you can shoot enemies behind covers as bullets will penetrate through them.

Also, DICE revealed that destruction during Battlefield V gameplay will be more realistic than ever. This means that if a tank is driven into a building, the debris will move inwards. With every bit of destruction, different ripple effects will be triggered with their own outcomes. Are you excited about Battlefield V releasing this October?
