NBA 2K19 20th Anniversary Packs Celebrate Derrick Rose With Galaxy Opal, Other MyTeam Player Cards
When it comes to the list of NBA MVPs over the past decade, it’s a list which LeBron James and Stephen Curry dominate. However, the other four players who won the award are special stars in their own rights. They include recent winners James Harden and Russell Westbrook. There’s also former NBA All-Star Derrick Rose who won back in 2010-11 with the Chicago Bulls. With that in mind, D-Rose now has special NBA 2K19 20th Anniversary packs and cards in the game.
Derrick Rose Galaxy Opal in NBA 2K19 20th Anniversary Packs
Among the key cards in these brand new NBA 2K19 20th Anniversary Packs will easily be the Galaxy Opal. It features “Chicago’s own” Derrick Rose. He hasn’t returned to MVP form since his string of injuries years ago, but this past season saw a near resurgence to All-Star form with the Minnesota Timberwolves. The “Windy City Assassin” averaged 18 points, 4.3 assists, and 2.7 rebounds a game while shooting 48.2 percent this past season. Rose previously had a Pink Diamond Throwback Playoffs Moments card but this new card bests that.
There are a number of other cards for players in the 20th Anniversary packs beyond D-Rose. That includes former star players Andrei Kirilenko and David Robinson. “The Admiral” who was part of the original NBA Dream Team is the only other Galaxy Opal to be had in the packs. However, a Pink Diamond Kirilenko is quite the score too. The player known as “AK-47” consistently filled his stat sheet as a member of the Utah Jazz.

To have a chance at these limited-time cards, gamers need to visit NBA 2K19’s MyTeam Market. Once there, purchase the 20th Anniversary Derrick Rose packs. They cost 7,500 Virtual Currency or 10,500 MT for the single pack of five cards. To get 10 packs requires 67,500 VC, while 20 packs will run 135,000 VC.
Otherwise, it’s best to head to the Auction House. Those Galaxy Opal cards will be super expensive, so keep that in mind when shopping for the new crown jewels in those Derrick Rose packs. Based on what we’ve seen so far, Derrick Rose GO cards are commanding about 310,000 MT or more on the recent auctions.
