NBA 2K19 Draft Day Posts Celebrate Zion Willamson, Polls Fans For 2K20 Rookie Ratings
The NBA 2K20 rookie ratings are still weeks away, but we’ve already got a pretty good idea which player will top this year’s Draft class. Duke’s Zion Williamson officially became the top pick on Thursday night, joining LeBron James as one of the most hyped talents in two decades. Williamson now joins the New Orleans Pelicans and NBA 2K19 Draft day posts were celebrating the pick and asking fans about his 2K20 status.

On Thursday afternoon, we reported about the brand new NBA 2K19 Draft packs featuring stars of previous drafts. On Thursday night, NBA Commissioner Adam Silver announced Zion Williamson as the first pick overall for the New Orleans Pelicans. He’ll now become the face of the franchise for a team that just traded Anthony Davis to the Los Angeles Lakers.
One NBA 2K19 draft post retweeted a gamer’s post showing off a screenshot of a user-created 2K19 Zion Williamson.
Since Zion is so hyped, and many expect he’ll live up to that hype, it’s only natural that he’ll be the highest-rated rookie in the NBA 2K20 game. Several NBA 2K19 Draft day posts on Twitter asked fans what they thought the rookie’s rating should be. There was a lot of comments calling for an 84 overall. Some fans were suggesting a higher rating, anywhere from 85 up to 99, though.
NBA 2K19 tweeted a poll to ask if Zion should be the highest-ever when it comes to rookie ratings in their line of games. An overwhelming “Yes” is the choice as of this report, coming in at 63 percent compared to 37 percent for “No.”
Weeks ago, the No. 2 pick Ja Morant speculated on what his NBA 2K20 rating might be. He gave himself a relatively high rating, which will probably come down to earth when the actual numbers come out. That said, the game is always updating player ratings based on their real-world performances. So Ja, Zion, and the rest of the new rookies have plenty of time to get their numbers up.
