NBA 2K19 MyTeam Throwback Packs: Playoffs Moments Cards Arrive For Rip Hamilton, Gilbert Arenas
With the NBA Finals now two games deep, NBA 2K19 MyTeam continues to celebrate playoff performances of the past and present. On June 4, they unveiled a brand new batch of Throwback Playoffs Moments cards that have hit the market. Amongst the featured players are the famous masked man, Richard “Rip” Hamilton, as well as “Agent 0” Gilbert Arenas. Here’s the latest scoop on the NBA 2K19 MyTeam Throwback Packs and which high-rated cards they feature.
Rip Hamilton, Gilbert Arenas amongst top NBA 2K19 MyTeam Throwback cards
Leading the way for the latest group of NBA 2K19 MyTeam Throwback Packs’ cards is former Wizards star Gilbert Arenas. Agent 0 is one of the two Galaxy Opal cards that gamers can now acquire in the game. He’s joined by all-time legend Moses Malone of the Philadelphia Sixers. Those are the two best cards of the bunch, although there are also two new Pink Diamonds.
Richard Hamilton helped the Detroit Pistons return to basketball prominence when they captured the 2004 NBA Championship. He was part of a beast of a team which also included the likes of Tayshaun Prince, Chauncey Billups, and Ben Wallace. In addition to Hamilton, there’s a new PD card for Peja Stojakovic, a former sharpshooter for the Kings. Both cards are rated at 97 overall and can give your MyTeam that much-needed perimeter scorer.
Two Galaxy Opals and two Pink Diamonds seem worth going for in the packs right now, as they can also fetch some MT on the auctions. Also, those are just four of the new cards available, as there are three other cards ranging from Ruby to Diamond.

How to get the new Throwback cards
There are two ways to acquire these new Throwback cards. The first is by heading into the Market and purchasing NBA 2K19 MyTeam Throwback Packs. Make sure they are the Throwback Playoffs Moments Packs, though. These start at 7,500 Virtual Currency or 10,500 MT for a single pack of five cards. From there, it’s 67,500 VC for 10 packs or 135,000 for 20 packs.
The MyTeam Auctions are the other way to go in order to pick up these new cards. The better the card, the higher the price usually. So for example, that Rip Hamilton PD is getting around 50,000 MT. However, a card like Gilbert Arenas’ or Moses Malone’s Galaxy Opal is commanding over 200,000 MT on the auction bids. So it’s basically a matter of getting lucky with a pull from buying packs or spending the required MT to just grab that card you really want.
