NBA 2K19 Player Ratings Update: Rookie Luka Doncic Rises, Russell Westbrook Slides

The weekly grind of the NBA season has shown some players continuing to play at their best levels. Others have been slumping in recent games. NBA 2K takes notice and adjusts those players appropriately each week in the video game based on those performances. Gamers will be happy to see a rising Luka Doncic and Kawhi Leonard amongst the latest changes. A pair of All-Star level guards haven’t been doing quite so well, though as seen in the NBA 2K19 player ratings update.

NBA 2K19 Player Ratings update: Doncic, Kuzma move up

There were a number of players who climbed in the latest NBA 2K19 ratings. The Los Angeles Lakers’ Kyle Kuzma averaged 19.3 points over the team’s past three games. They suffered two losses in those game, with Kuzma achieving 24 and 20 in those games. However, the ratings adjustors felt Kuzma has been stepping it up with multiple games of 20 points or better this season.

The Dallas Mavs were also 1-2 this past week. However, Doncic recorded 24 points, 10 rebounds, and six assists in a win against the Hawks. His team fell to the Kings in Sacramento, but the kid scored 28 points to go with nine assists and grabbed six boards. He receives a two-point boost on 2K19 to become an 84 overall.

Other notable risers this week on the ratings included Kawhi Leonard (95), Kyrie Irving (92), and Paul George (90). Each of these All-Stars was up by a point based on recent performance.

NBA 2K19 player ratings update unkind for Westbrook, CP3

A number of All-Star level players were adjusted by a point in the latest update. Among them were All-Star players such as Kemba Walker (89), DeMar DeRozan (89), Klay Thompson (88), and Andre Drummond (88). These players are only down one point, though, and can easily bounce back with a bunch of impressive games.

All-Star point-guards Chris Paul, Russell Westbrook, and Mike Conley have all dropped a point as well. Westbrook hasn’t been playing quite as high-level as in past seasons, but he’s had Paul George there to pick up the slack. The same goes for CP3, as James Harden has been putting up some crazy numbers lately. Both Harden and George received NBA 2K19 Moments cards recently for their performances.

Two players fell the most as Kosta Koufos and Ben McLemore each dropped by two points. Check out the full list of player ratings on NBA 2K’s Facebook post here.
