NBA 2K19: The Prelude Is Now Available For Free

2K Sports released the demo version of NBA 2K19 on August 31 at midnight eastern time. NBA 2K19: The Prelude allows gamers to try the upcoming basketball game out before deciding whether to buy it or not, and it allows them to get a head start for MyCAREER mode.

In case you decide to buy the official version of NBA 2K19, the progress you make it in the demo will carry over to it. This means that you won’t have to go through the same storyline all over again, which will make things much faster.

As soon as you start NBA 2K19: The Prelude up, you will be put into a 2KU game which will help you learn the basic controls. While most players already know these controls, it’s definitely good to refresh the memory. However, the weird thing is that the 2KU game is played between the Golden State Warriors and the Cleveland Cavaliers. Yes, you read that right. While we understand that 2KSports wanted to give us the rematch of the NBA Finals, it just doesn’t feel right this time.

NBA 2K19 player ratings

The best player on the Cavaliers is Kevin Love, whose rating is 86. Every other player in the lineup is either 75 or 76. On the other side, the Warriors’ worst player is Draymond Green, and his rating is one point higher than Love’s. The Warriors also have Kevin Durant (97), Stephen Curry (95), DeMarcus Cousins (90), and Klay Thompson (89).

After the tutorial game, gamers can start their careers and create their custom players to use in MyCAREER mode. This year, gamers are able to skip cutscenes, which is a great addition.

Beside the demo of the upcoming video game, gamers can download MyNBA2K19, the companion app for NBA 2K19. This app allows gamers to play a card game with NBA players, as well as to earn free VC and perform a face scan.

NBA 2K19 comes out on September 11, but those who preorder it will be able to play it four days earlier.
