NBA 2K19 Winter Madness: Kevin Garnett’s Team Tops Paul George Squad In Neighborhood Battle

The NBA 2K19 Winter Madness took a nice break from the regular Neighborhood events on Wednesday so gamers could witness a great celebrity matchup. It was one team of three players led by Kevin Garnett taking on another team of three led by Paul George. The two hoops stars made it interesting too thanks to the help of their gamer teammates. Here are details on what transpired in the matchup as well as some of the incentive bonuses for gamers who were there.

NBA 2K19 Winter Madness: Team Garnett vs. Team George results

Gamers were able to watch and listen live to Team Garnett vs. Team George as the battle took place in the Neighborhood. It was one of the special new events as part of NBA 2K19 Winter Madness. Ronnie 2K took on the hosting duties on his exclusive Twitch channel. During the on-screen games, Ronnie was asking the players questions about gaming and giving out a few sweet prizes.

Here’s a look at one of the virtual courts where things went down in the NBA 2K19 Neighborhood game.

Meanwhile, the Team KG and Team PG battle took place in a best-of-five series on the virtual court. In the first of five games, it was Paul George and his two teammates winning 21 to 17. Team KG roared back for a 21 to 18 win in Game 2, and then the Paul George crew captured Game 3.

To make things extra exciting, Garnett and his crew tied things up at 2-2 in Game 4 to force the deciding game. When it was all said and done, Team Garnett ultimately captured the victory on the NBA 2K19 Celebrity Matchup as they took Game 5. Congratulations are in order to the former NBA star and his teammates for their skills on the controllers.

NBA 2K19 Winter Madness: Ronnie 2K gives prizes for gamers

Of course, the two gamers wanted to go again, but Paul George had to take off. That allowed Ronnie 2K to hop in for some fun. Still, the best part of this event was listening to Garnett and George go back-and-forth with the trash talk. KG easily had the line of the night when he proclaimed to his opponents and everyone watching, “I started motion control,” referring to his long history in the league and video games.

Another great part of the NBA 2K live streaming that Ronnie 2K does is the giving out of great prizes. Wednesday’s stream included a Pink Diamond Code and Locker codes for NBA 2K19 MyTeam. One lucky fan won a pair of the Nike Tinker Hatfield sneakers (above), so it can be a great idea to visit Ronnie’s channel. Check out Ronnie 2K’s Twitch here.
