NBA 2K19 Features Wishlist

There aren’t a lot of details about NBA 2K19 yet, so most of what you will read right now regarding features and more is speculative. But we do know that a new NBA 2K game comes out each year, and we can expect the release of the next installment in a few months.

So this is a great time to talk about the features we’d like to see in the upcoming game. It’d be easy to come up with a long list here, but let’s focus on the top 5 NBA 2k19 wishlist features the game really needs to shine.

5. Fix issues with microtransactions.

Microtransactions are dominating the gaming industry these days, and it’s easy to understand why. What gaming company wouldn’t want to take advantage of the opportunity to continuously bring in fresh profits on a game even after the initial sale?

Nonetheless, microtransactions are plagued by problems. This too is to be expected. Nowhere was that more apparent last year than with NBA 2K18. Virtual Currency itself wasn’t necessarily the problem. But the system was intrusive, and all the upgrades you could purchase were way too expensive. It forced most gamers to be very choosy about their purchases as a result.

4. Improve matchmaking.

Matchmaking is something else which could really use an improvement in NBA 2K19. Options are lacking, and results are unreliable. It is way too easy for novice players to be matched up against highly skilled and experienced opponents. Not only is this frustrating, but it makes it hard to get better at the game. Hopefully in NBA 2K19 it will be easier to be matched correctly against opponents with comparable abilities.

3. Improve player creation.

The CAP system in last year’s game was just a mess. There are a lot of different issues which we could talk about here, but let’s start with the awful facial hair. What was with the low quality on so many of the styles? And why is there still no option to upload face photos? Just implementing better facial hair options and adding the ability to upload face photos would make player creation a lot better.

2. Take care of physics problems.

In terms of game play, the physics in NBA 2K18 seemed oddly out of date in some respects. The clipping was really annoying, and then there is all that skating. Hopefully we’ll see more realism and better physics in the next game.

1. Keep working on the Neighborhood feature.

The introduction of the Neighborhood feature was awesome, but it could use more work. Scaling it up would be nice, as would the addition of some more means of transit. Additional activities would also help to enhance the feature and add more value overall.

So those are our picks for the 5 changes we want most from NBA 2K19. There should be lots of new information coming out about the game in the coming months, so keep checking our NBA 2K news for more updates!
