NBA 2K20 MyTeam: Anthony Davis Among Most Used Player Cards as Injury Arrives

The NBA 2K20 cover star Anthony Davis is amongst the most popular choices for community MyTeam lineups. The latest results for the past week show that the Los Angeles Lakers star leads the way in terms of the five most-used player cards. The information arrives just as NBA 2K20 $250,000 tournament qualifying is underway and as Davis suffered a recent injury in the preseason.

Anthony Davis one of most popular NBA 2K20 MyTeam choices right now

Davis graces the cover of the game and is the newest star on the Los Angeles Lakers’ roster. Along with LeBron James, many people considered him the star the team needs to push back into the playoffs and possibly win a championship. He’s also one of the most popular choices when it comes to NBA 2K20 MyTeam rosters which isn’t very surprising. 2K revealed Davis as one of the game’s cover stars along with Dwyane Wade in early July.

In a recent tweet, they showed off an 85 overall Sapphire Davis along with four other player cards that are most popular for lineups. Two former All-Stars join Davis in the lineup. “The Big Ticket” Kevin Garnett’s Spotlight Amethyst card is there and Tracy McGrady’s Ruby 89 card also made the group.

Along with T-Mac, Davis, and KG are and 89 Ruby Derrick Rose and an 88 Ruby Gerald Green. Of those players, the 88 OVR Green card makes a dynamic option at his position.

  • SF Gerald Green – Ruby 88
  • PF Kevin Garnett – Amethyst 92
  • C Anthony Davis – Sapphire 85
  • SG Tracy McGrady – Ruby 89
  • PG Derrick Rose – Ruby 89

Davis’ injury could halt other items for now

Right now many community members are pointing out that these have been the most popular cards for several weeks. That’s because they’re some of the best available for now in the game. As more NBA 2K20 MyTeam content arrives, there will be new “top five” lineups to check out.

As far as Anthony Davis goes, Lakers fans are hoping for good news in the near future. The big man suffered a recent thumb injury during a preseason game in China. That could sideline him a bit into the start of the regular season and impact him receiving upgraded items in the game. He’ll have further tests on Sunday (Oct. 13) to diagnose the extent of the injury.
