NBA 2K20 Takeover Packs: Michael Jordan, Scottie Pippen Amongst New MyTeam Cards
The NBA 2K20 Takeover packs and boxes have officially arrived in MyTeam giving gamers a shot at four different Galaxy Opal player items inside. Two of those four players are former NBA Most Valuable Player winners with Michael Jordan and Giannis Antetokounmpo. There’s also a special collection reward featuring MJ’s well-known sidekick, Scottie Pippen.
Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen headline NBA 2K20 Takeover Packs
There’s a new G.O.A.T. card available for the legend Michael Jordan as part of the NBA 2K20 Takeover packs. As expected, it’s a Galaxy Opal for the six-time Chicago Bulls champion. MJ’s new card has a whopping 65 Hall of Fame badges on it including Volume Shooter, Floor General, Clamps, Ankle Breaker, Dimer, Interceptor, and Pogo Stick. You name it, MJ’s new card has it. After all, this is his Greatest of All Time card.
Joining MJ with Galaxy Opal items is the reigning NBA MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo of the Milwaukee Bucks. While Greek Freak came up short in the NBA 2K20 Finals simulation, some think he was headed towards a second award this season. His new GO item features 28 Gold and 45 HOF badges along with plenty of great attributes in the high 90s.
Also getting Galaxy Opals are former NBA stars Jason Kidd and Chris Bosh. Here’s the official video trailer for the new NBA 2K20 Takeover packs and boxes.
Gamers who are able to acquire a full set of all of the available limited time cards inside the Takeover packs can acquire the Scottie Pippen Galaxy Opal. That card gives Pippen eligibility at the point guard spot for your MyTeam lineup. By the way, the MJ Galaxy Opal isn’t required for the set but all of the other cards listed below are.

Pack, boxes, and GO auction listings
The new NBA 2K20 Takeover packs start at 11,250 Virtual Currency or 10,500 MT for a five-item standard pack. For 15,000 VC or 17,500 MT, there’s a Deluxe pack available with a guaranteed Takeover player inside. There’s also a 10-pack box, currently selling for 135,000 VC each.
As far as the auctions go, the Galaxy Opals are commanding high amounts of MT. In particular, that new GOAT MJ card is going for 3.5 million MT or more with his older card going for under 300,000 now.
Giannis’ Galaxy Opal card recently sold for 1,738,050 MT on the PS4 listings, with other auction listings topping 1.7 MT. Chris Bosh is going for under 300,000 MT while Jason Kidd’s new card is much cheaper at just 100,000 MT right now.
