NBA 2K21 Heat Check Packs Feature Playoff Stars Damian Lillard, Kyrie Irving, and More
Fans have seen some great NBA playoff performances in just the first round of the postseason, and now NBA 2K’s MyTeam is paying tribute to them. There are new NBA 2K21 Heat Check packs available at the Market featuring some of the top stars from those games. Among them are several Dark Matter cards featuring All Stars Kyrie Irving and Jayson Tatum, as well as Galaxy Opals for other playoff heroes.
NBA 2K21 Heat Check Packs arrive in MyTeam
On Wednesday, June 2, the NBA 2K21 Heat Check packs were released into MyTeam’s Pack Market. These packs have a shot at 11 cards featuring top performers from the 2021 NBA Playoffs.
So gamers have a shot to add Ja Morant, Kyrie Irving, or Jayson Tatum’s Dark Matter cards if they happen to get them randomly. Galaxy Opal items are available for James Harden, Chris Paul, Deandre Ayton, Dillon Brooks, and a Pink Diamond for Joe Harris.
Kyrie’s Moments card features 97 Playmaking, 94 Athleticism, and 91 Defending. He’s also got 55 Hall of Fame Badges on the card, including Fancy Footwork, Giant Slayer, Deadeye, and Tireless Defender. The card’s currently selling for about 150,000 MT at the Auction House, which isn’t too terrible.
Other players in the mix who the tweet below didn’t mention include the Philadelphia 76ers’ Joel Embiid and Phoenix Suns’ Devin Booker. There’s also a GO Damian Lillard but read below about getting the better Dame in MyTeam.
The NBA 2K21 Heat Check Packs sell for 7,500 VC or 10,500 MT for a single pack at the Market. A 10-pack box is 67,500 VC, while a 20-pack box is 135,000 VC at the Market. They’re among the several offerings at the Pack Market, which also include Full Throttle Super Pack and Out of Position 2 packs right now.
New Season Agendas, Dame Dark Matter still available
By now it’s no secret that Season 7 will be ending within a few days. MyTeam Season 8 will officially arrive on Friday, June 4, and could potentially bring some sort of playoff theme with it.
Until that happens, there are still plenty of Agendas left for many MyTeam gamers to complete. In fact, the new Steve Nash MyTeam Agendas just arrived yesterday to earn his Dark Matter Rewards card.
Another set of MyTeam Agendas came out in conjunction with the Playoff Moments for Heat Check Packs. Check out the various tasks below for the 1st Round Moments.
- Harris for 3 – Make 7 3-pointers with any Joe Harris in a single TT or TTO game (500 XP)
- Brooks with 31 – Score 31 points with any Dillon Brooks over multiple TTO games (500 XP)
- Deandre Double Double – Score 21 points and get 16 rebounds with any Deandre Ayton in a game (750 XP)
- Irving with 39 -Score 39 points with any Kyrie Irving over multiple TTO games (750 XP)
- Tatum Scores 50 – Score 50 points with any Jayson Tatum over multiple Multiplayer games (1,500 XP)
- Lillard Scores 55 – Score 55 points and make 12 3-pointers with any Damian Lillard in a game (1,500 XP)
In his team’s recent game against Denver, Damian Lillard had an epic performance with 55 points and 10 assists as well as 12 3-pointers in a double OT scoring fest. Unfortunately, the Nuggets claimed the win. Still, the 2K cover star has a sweet Dark Matter card in 2K21.
It’s possible to earn that Damian Lillard Dark Matter card as well. This one’s available by completing the Triple Threat Spotlight Challenges within the mode. Check out the video from May 20 which goes over the gameplay for the card:
