NBA 2K21 Playoffs Simulation Reveals Bracket Predictions, Championship Team

The NBA Playoffs are back, with the bracket officially set! After a thrilling contest that went to overtime on Friday evening, the Memphis Grizzlies defeated the Golden State Warriors to take the final seed, No. 8, in the West. With the NBA Play-In Tournament games over, now it’s time for the NBA Playoffs bracket to begin. Saturday brings the first games of the first round, and an NBA 2K21 Playoffs simulation has arrived with predictions.

NBA 2K21 Playoffs Simulation bracket arrives

In a similar fashion to EA’s NHL 21 playoffs simulation, there’s also one from 2K with their NBA 2K21 Playoffs simulation. On Saturday, May 22, just hours before tip-off for the first game of the NBA’s postseason, @NBA2K revealed their full bracket with predictions.

That includes several upsets in just the first round. One of those features LeBron James and the Lakers, who earned the No. 7 seed via the Play-In Tournament, taking out No. 2 seed Phoenix.

Over in the Eastern Conference, they’ve got the Miami Heat, trying to get back to the NBA Finals for a second-straight season. The NBA 2K21 playoffs simulation shows that No. 6 Miami was able to topple the No. 3-seeded Milwaukee Bucks, before they rant into the Brooklyn Nets.

Other upsets are on display, as No. 6 seed Portland is predicted to defeat No. 3 Denver in the first round. The Los Angeles Clippers, the fourth seed in the West are predicted to take down No. 1 seed Utah in the second round.

Ultimately, it’s expected to bring a battle between LeBron’s Lakers and KD’s Nets. LeBron will have the help of Anthony Davis, while the Nets sport a Big Three that also includes James Harden and Kyrie Irving. When it’s all said and done, Brooklyn is expected to have won the Larry O’Brien Trophy, giving Harden and Irving their first title, and KD his third.

Championship odds favor 2K’s finals matchup ahead of first round

While some may question the NBA 2K21 Playoffs simulation predictions above, the oddsmakers had similar thoughts about who might battle in the Finals and who will it all. Various sportsbooks have the Brooklyn Nets installed as overall favorites to capture this year’s NBA title. However, the Lakers are listed at many sportsbooks right below them.
