NBA 2K22 New Year’s Resolution MyTeam Packs to Bring Galaxy Opal Luka and Zion Cards
MyTeam fans will get new Galaxy Opal cards to help bring in the New Year, as the NBA 2K22 New Year’s Resolution promo arrives. A day before New Year’s Eve, 2K teased two cards that will arrive in the upcoming release. They are NBA 2K22 cover star Luka Doncic, and NBA 2K21 Next-Gen cover star, Zion Williamson. Both players will have high-rated new cards available as of the brand new year.
NBA 2K22 New Year’s Resolution Galaxy Opal cards teased
We haven’t seen too much about the upcoming NBA 2K22 New Year’s Resolution packs, although two cards have been teased. They’re both 97 overall Galaxy Opal items, which are among the best in the 2K22 MyTeam mode. The first one teased via NBA 2K22 MyTeam on Twitter was last year’s next-gen cover star, Zion Williamson.
Although he’s been sidelined this season due to injury and recovery setbacks, he’s still considered a beast in basketball. We’re expecting Zion’s 97 OVR item to feature some impressive stats and a good number of HOF Badges.
As of right now, Zion’s best card in MyTeam is his 95 OVR Limited Edition Insert. That card features 21 Gold and 6 Hall of Fame Badges.
The other 97 overall Galaxy Opal goes to NBA 2K22 cover star “Cool Hand Luka.” The two-time NBA All-Star is averaging 25.6 points, 8.5 assists, and eight rebounds per game this season through 22 games played. So far, his best cards in MyTeam are his 95 OVR Free Agent card, and the 92 OVR Cover Event Reward card by completing Agendas.
There are several other Galaxy Opal cards in the game which arrived in MyTeam Season 3. That includes the recent NBA 75 Dirk Nowitzki, just unveiled a day or so ago. There’s also the Allen Iverson available as a Season 3 Level 40 reward. LeBron James and Stephen Curry received GO cards in the ’Tis The Season packs for the Christmas holiday.
Other items for MyTeam to include new EVO cards
While there will be the New Year’s Resolution Packs coming at 11 a.m. Eastern Time (8 a.m. PT), there are several other newer additions to MyTeam. One was revealed earlier on Thursday, as they added a Glen Robinson III Amethyst item for competing in the Season 3 Limited Warmup Week 5 challenge.
Additionally, a tweet via NBA 2K22 MyTeam indicated that there will be 14 new EVO cards coming to MyTeam on Friday. EVO cards are dynamic player items that gamers can evolve into upgraded cards by achieving certain in-game stats with the players. Some of the EVO cards already in the game feature Zion, Dennis Rodman, Derrick Jones Jr., and Jordan Poole.
In addition to the above, MyTeam Season 3 has recently revealed the Best of 2K22 Packs, NBA 75, ‘Tis The Season, and various Season Agendas. They include Happy Holidays and Moments Agendas where gamers can really rack up the XP towards Season 3 Rewards!
