New Fortnite weapons are going to be released with Chapter 3! At the moment, players are stuck on the downtime screen that should last for a few more hours. However, if the leaks are true, the downtime will end around 10 AM Eastern Time. This is when players will be able to explore the whole new world!
Epic Games is adding several new weapons with the new chapter, which is something many players expected. However, combined with the new mechanics, such as sliding, these changes and additions will force players to change the way they play the game. Let’s check out the new weapons that we will soon be able to use!
New Fortnite weapons are diverse
The Fortnite developer is bringing at least seven new weapons to the game with Chapter 3. These weapons are all different and are meant to be used in certain situations. There are two new shotguns, two assault rifles, a pistol, an SMG, and a sniper rifle! And yes, sniper rifles are getting unvaulted in Chapter 3.
Considering that many players have been asking Epic to bring sniper rifles back, this will be a nice addition. This weapon was also shown in the leaked trailer from December 4. It may work the same way as the original Bolt-Action Sniper Rifle, but it will most likely have some small changes.

According to leakers, players will be able to talk to The Foundation NPC to buy the special version of the MK-Seven Assault Rifle. This weapon will have a faster firing rate and it might have the Exotic rarity. This could also indicate that Gold Bars are coming back to the game, although there might be a new currency.
Downtime information
Several Fortnite leakers believe that the Fortnite downtime will end on Sunday, December 5, at 10 AM Eastern Time. Xbox and PlayStation have also shared this information. However, Epic Games has not confirmed anything yet.
Considering that the game developer is sharing so many new things about Chapter 3, it definitely feels that the new chapter is right around the corner! If it happens, it will be the first time that Fortnite gets a new season on Sunday.
