On the 74th anniversary of D-Day, Wargaming announced the release of “World of Tanks: Mercenaries” on the 26th of June, 2018, which will come exclusively and free to Xbox 360, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
“World of Tanks: Mercenaries” will be a combined console version of World of Tanks, War Stories and the new Mercenaries-themed content. This new game will introduce the Mercenaries nation, who have their own motives and endorse anarchy. Hence, their motto “Be Your Own Hero.”
The variety of the tanks they own come from around the world, which means that they meld various technologies. These tanks were specially made for the Mercenaries, and they own a brand new armored force. Along with the new tanks, “World of Tanks: Mercenaries” will have a story campaign to introduce the whole Mercenaries universe to the players so that they can fully understand their motives and the missions. Furthermore, the new vehicles will be purchasable through the new Contract system and will come with unique Mercenary Crews.
New content and new maps will come with “World of Tanks: Mercenaries” as well as the first story campaign, which will include three chapters and which will be called “The Heist.” In this new storyline, which will be a completely alternate history, the players will be asked to steal some nuclear materials for a certain client so they can face the United States and the Soviet Union.
This new game is thought to be the most compelling World War 2-based online multiplayer armored combat experience and will be completely free after its release, which will come along with a new update for all console-based virtual tank commanders worldwide.
