Among the numerous questions we have about PlayStation 5, most of us are wondering what the launch titles will be. Now, we have an exciting announcement! Counterplay Games together with Borderlands creator Gearbox have teamed up to create a new “looter-slasher” game called Godfall, which will apparently launch with PlayStation 5. And guess what? There is already a trailer for the upcoming game.

Ahmad writes, “Godfall has been announced.
A third-person fantasy looter-slasher focused on melee combat, coming to PlayStation 5 & Epic Games Store Holiday 2020.
Launch game for PS5.”

As of right now, “launch game for PS5” is not yet official—that is just what Ahmad says. But it does make sense, given that the game is supposed to come out during the holiday 2020 release window, just like PlayStation 5.
In a press release, Gearbox Publishing president Steve Gibson said, “We’re thrilled at Gearbox to have been chosen by Counterplay Games to bring their creative vision of Godfall to gamers on the PlayStation 5 and PC. As we continue our mission to entertain the world, Godfall is a perfect fit with Gearbox Publishing. Playing with your friends and gearing up are some of the things we love most.”
Considering the popularity of the Borderlands franchise, we have high expectations for anything Gearbox gets involved in. So, we are looking forward to having the chance to play Godfall on PlayStation 5. But we just wish that the 2020 holiday season would get here sooner.
