NHL 19 Trade Deadline Deals: Matt Stone To Golden Knights, Two New Predators, & More

On Monday, the official NHL trade deadline arrived and with that, a number of players moved onto new rosters. Luckily, NHL 19 is keeping the fans updated and the game will reflect those deals. They’ve shown off several of the NHL 19 trade deadline deals including a pair of new Nashville Predators, along with new Golden Knights and Blue Jackets players.

NHL 19 Trade Deadline deals: Pair of New Nashville Predators

A number of NHL deals came ahead of the official trade deadline. In one of those deals on Monday (Feb. 25), Nashville traded Ryan Hartman along with a “conditional” 2020 fourth-round pick to the Philadelphia Flyers. In exchange, the Predators received Wayne Simmonds. The Predators also dealt Kevin Fiala to the Minnesota Wild in exchange for Mikael Granlund.

NHL 19 provided images to show both of the new Predators in their team jerseys along with their player ratings. Granlund brings an 86 OVR while Simmons brings an 85 OVR to their new roster.

The Predators are currently second overall in the Central Division and just a point behind the Winnipeg Jets. They’re hoping these latest roster additions will help out as they continue their push towards the top of the division and a playoff spot.

NHL 19 Trade Deadline deals: Golden Knights get Matt Stone

As CBS Sports reported, the Las Vegas Golden Knights orchestrated the best trade deal of the day. Vegas sent a trade package to the Ottawa Senators and were able to acquire Matt Stone “just minutes” ahead of the deadline on Monday.

Las Vegas’ trade package was headlined by ErikĀ Brannstorm. However, with the Stone deal, it adds an 87 OVR player to the already stellar Knight’s NHL 19 team roster. Check out Stone in his “first look” as a member of Las Vegas’ team.

The Golden Knights are currently third in the Pacific Division with a 32-26-5 record. As of right now, they’re 13 points behind second-place team San Jose and 16 points behind first-place Calgary. However, many people feel that the addition of Matt Stone will boost this roster which lost two key players since last season’s impressive run to the Stanley Cup Finals.

EA NHL 19 tweeted out about another trade several days ago which involved Matt Duchene heading to the Columbus Blue Jackets. Duchene brings an 86 OVR to his newest team. Gamers will be able to test out Duchene with Columbus, Stone with the Knights, as well as the two new Predators once they launch NHL 19 soon.
