NHL 20 Pre-order Details: Prices & Bonuses for Standard, Deluxe, Ultimate Editions
As of June 19, it’s official that NHL 20 will arrive in just a few short months from now. Wednesday night’s NHL Awards brought our first look at the NHL 20 cover star with Auston Matthews gracing the front of the new hockey title. In addition, it brought news of the release date in mid-September. With that in mind, we’ve got the full NHL 20 pre-order details for Standard, Deluxe and Ultimate editions of the game including special bonuses.
NHL 20 pre-order details: Standard, Deluxe, Ultimate editions
The new NHL 20 pre-order details arrived with the news of the game’s release date. That is Friday, September 13, 2019. That date serves as the official release for the Standard version of the game, but a few pre-order versions arrive several days earlier. The new NHL 20 game will be available for the Sony PlayStation 4 and Microsoft Xbox One. So far, there are no details for Nintendo Switch or PCs.

There are three different editions of the game, each with varying prices and with different bonuses included. Here’s a look at what’s included with each game version.
NHL 20 Standard Edition details:

NHL 20 Ultimate Edition details:
- Cover Athlete Choice Pack (85 OVR)
- Early pre-order bonus available until July 18th
- Up to 3 Days Early Access
- Up to 10 HUT Diamond Choice Packs (Pack available through pre-order offers only)
- Hometown Choice Pack (Choice of 1 hero item, increases +1 OVR each month until April 2020)
- 5 World of CHEL hockey bags
- Access to exclusive HUT Competitive Season (Starts September 13th)
NHL game prices, special features
As of this report, there were no prices listed with any of the above NHL 20 pre-order listings. However, we have to believe the prices will be similar to what we’ve seen for EA’s other two games available for pre-order. For example, FIFA 20 pre-order editions are $59.99 for Standard, $79.99 for the next version, and $99.99 for the top version available. At this point, we’d have to assume the same for EA’s NHL game, but it’s still unconfirmed.
The new game promises to bring an exciting update to what gamers experienced in NHL 19. Among the new features will be new Signature Shots, over 45 new shot types, a new broadcast package, and a new winner-take-all Eliminator mode. That new addition to the game allows gamers to go solo or team with friends against competitors.
In the coming weeks, we’re expecting to learn more about the new title and get a look at the first official gameplay trailer. The cover reveal had a bit of gameplay mixed in, but nothing as extensive as we’re likely to see just ahead of the game’s release.
