NHL 21 Early Access: EA Play 10-Hour Trial Officially Launches

While the NHL 21 release date is about a week away, some gamers are now able to get a head start on the new hockey simulation game. The special NHL 21 early access period officially began on Thursday, allowing for a 10-hour trial of the game. This is thanks to the EA Play membership service. Here are more details on how to begin playing the NHL 21 early access game.

NHL 21 Early Access trial launches on EA Play

The official release date for EA’s new NHL 21 game comes on Friday, October 16. Customers who pre-ordered the Ultimate Edition or Great Eight (Deluxe) Edition of the game get to begin playing the game as of October 13. However, EA Play members are able to start playing the game as of Thursday, October 8.

EA Sports NHL unveiled a short EA Play Trailer on Thursday in conjunction with that early access news. It presents the overhauled Be A Pro Career Mode and new HUT Rush aspect of Ultimate Team, among other new concepts.

With the EA Play membership, gamers can enjoy a 10-hour trial of the NHL 21 game ahead of release. This will allow some customers to determine if they want to buy a copy, and get started on the various game modes.

How does EA Play work?

EA Play is the new name for EA Access, an exclusive membership service available for PlayStation and Xbox gamers. Membership costs $4.99 per month on either console, or customers can sign up for a $29.99 per year deal. Sign-up for EA Play is available online through a computer or mobile web browser, or on the consoles themselves.

That membership brings great benefits including pre-order discounts for select games, as well as a large library of titles available to play. In addition, it gives gamers the opportunity to play games early, which is what the NHL 21 early access is. They also started offering the FIFA 21 title several days ago, with the game set to release on Friday.
