Trainers, the day has come. Niantic is finally adding a shiny version to our favorite and mose useful pokemon ever, Psyduck. The first generation water pokemon will now have a second appearance, this time with blue colors. We can’t deny that blue is the perfect color for shiny Psyduck, since it comes closer to his evolution.
Trainers are experiencing higher Psyduck encounter rates in the wild since the last Safari zone. In addition, those rates were boosted even more the days after due to the addition of its shiny form. Right now, you can get a blue shiny Psyduck and Golduck, if you’re lucky enough. The pokemon will even spawn at places away from water, so don’t pass the event by if you’re away from the waterfront.
Niantic was even diligent enough to let trainers know about the Psyduck event via Twitter, in case they haven’t recently logged in the game. Also, they encouraged trainers to upload their photos of a shiny Psyduck. And so, Twitter filled with cute, weird and funny at the same time photos of Misty’s famous pokemon. The announcement reads:
“Trainers we need your help! The recent Pokemon GO Safari Zone event has caused an outbreak of Psyduck wandering all over the world. Track tis phenomenon with us by sharing AR photos of any Psyduck you see this weekend with #FoundPsyduck”
It wasn’t long go that Kyogre and Groudon received their own shiny versions. Many species are getting treatment in Pokemon GO, as the game progresses into a succesful era after its first troubling years.
Note that the February Community Day is close to commence. The pokemon featured in the event will be Swinub, so stock up in Pokeball and boosts so that you can get the most out of the upcoming festivities.
