New NVIDIA Drivers Fix Problems With The Witcher 3 and Far Cry 5

NVIDIA’s last major driver update occurred around two weeks ago, when the company released the 416.34 WHQL NVIDIA drivers. This update brought with it a list of fixes for issues with a number of major games, but like many new software releases, it also came with its fair share of bugs. Just a few days ago, the company released a new set of beta drivers; the GeForce 416.64 drivers. These drivers are optional, but fix several known issues with major titles like The Witcher 3 and Far Cry 5.

The New 416.64 Beta NVIDIA Drivers and How to Get Them

The first important thing to note about the new 416.64 NVIDIA drivers is that they are a beta release. Moreover, a beta release for an update which is wholly optional. They have not been certified by WHQL; “They are run through a much abbreviated QA release,” explains NVIDIA; “The sole reason they exist is to get fixes out to you more quickly. The safest option is to wait for the next WHQL certified driver. But we know that many of you are willing to try these out.”
