Patch 1.11 Adds Skye to the Valorant Agent Roster

Today, Riot Games rolls out Valorant Patch 1.11, featuring the first round of changes since the start of the last Act. Perhaps most importantly, the patch includes the addition of Skye, the game’s newest Agent. Skye was originally meant to launch at the start of the Act, but her release was delayed in favour of a beta form of the Icebox map.

Valorant Patch 1.11: Skye Joins the Roster

Skye is the latest Agent to join the Valorant roster. First announced prior to the start of the current Act, she was originally meant to launch several weeks ago. With the rollout of Patch 1.11 today, Skye finally becomes playable, although she won’t be available in Competitive until the 9th of November; giving Riot the time to test for bugs and other potential problems in the latest patch.

Valorant Agent Skye Now Available

Skye features a range of utility abilities designed to help players heal their teammates, gather intel by scouting ahead, and disrupt enemies. Her ‘C’ ability is Regrowth, which allows her to heal allies within a radius while channelling the ability. This is the only healing ability she possesses, but is very effective at healing teammates quickly in a wide area. Her ‘Q,’ meanwhile, is Trailblazer. This ability summons a Tasmanian tiger spirit which players can control directly. The tiger can be destroyed by enemy fire. However, if it impacts enemies, it explodes in a burst that inflicts the Concuss debuff.

Skye’s ‘E’ ability is Guiding Light, another summon, which allows her to summon a flying hawk. Like Trailblazer, Guiding Light is a debuff effect, although it doesn’t offer the ability scout ahead. The hawk flies ahead and players can activate it to burst and inflict the Blind debuff on enemies. Like the Tiger, it can be destroyed by enemy gunfire, but is smaller and faster, making it more difficult to hit.

Finally, Skye’s ‘X’ ability is Seekers, her most powerful tool. When she uses this ability, she summons three Seekers which, as the name implies, seek out enemies. On contact, they inflict the Nearsight debuff on enemies. The three Seekers will each hunt out different enemies if multiple targets are present.
