Players Are Already Unlocking Achievements in Spyro: Reignited Trilogy

Players are already unlocking achievements in the Spyro: Reignited Trilogy on Xbox One. This is especially surprising since the release of the remastered trilogy is still over a month away. It also hasn’t gone “gold” yet, meaning that the games aren’t ready to ship. Regardless, there are a few explanations for why some players are unlocking the achievements.

News of this interesting development comes from Reddit user metallica123446. The user posted a screenshot of the Xbox mobile app where it shows the achievement list for Spyro: Reignited Trilogy. Oddly enough, some of the achievements shown do note that a certain percentage of players have unlocked it.

For instance, the Spyro achievement for “Sheep Kebab” has just over nine percent of players who have unlocked it. The Sheep Kebab achievement is for the first game in the trilogy and tasks players with flaming 10 sheep. Though this could be a simple glitch, that most likely isn’t the case. A different achievement, Light My Fire, has absolutely zero unlocks by players.

In addition, this is far from the first time a similar situation has occurred.  This also happened with the Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy before its launch. The most plausible reason for this to happen is that developers or testers are the ones unlocking the achievements. This would make sense as the developer would want to make sure they unlock properly.

However, the fact that it is possible to unlock achievements in Spyro: Reignited Trilogy does let us know some things. This could imply that the remastered trilogy is almost ready to go “gold” and have games be shipped. The timing lines up, too, since the release is set for just over a month away. We can expect an announcement of the games being finished soon. The Spyro: Reignited Trilogy releases on November 13.
