PlayStation Delays Days Gone

In a PlayStation Blog post, PlayStation has announced that Days Gone has been delayed to April 26th, 2019.

Playstation on Delaying Days Gone

“We recently decided to move the release of Days Gone from the crowded February timeframe to April 26th, 2019. While the studio is eager to see Days Gone in the hands of fans, Bend Studio will take the opportunity to further polish Days Gone.”

“As PlayStation fans already know, Days Gone is an open-world action game set in the high-desert of the Pacific Northwest. Traversing harsh landscapes on their drifter bike, players must fight for resources as they attempt to survive broken roads, unpredictable weather, attacks from other human factions, infected wildlife, and roaming Freakers – a brutal, dynamic world that is dangerous both day and night.”

PlayStation delays Days Gone

At E3 2018, it was announced that Anthem, Metro Exodus, and Days Gone were all coming out on February 22nd, 2019. With that many AAA titles on the same day, one of them was bound to move. Admitting that day was crowded was a smart move on Sony’s part. Delaying a game doesn’t hurt since it gives the developer more time to work on the game. Bend Studio’s last game was Uncharted: Golden Abyss for the PlayStation Vita in 2012.

In addition to Days Gone’s delay, PlayStation also highlighted other games coming soon. First, Deracine comes out on November 6th, 2018. Lastly, Concrete Genie and Everybody’s Golf VR are coming out Spring 2019.

PlayStation has had an incredible 2018 with titles like God of War, Detroit: Become Human, and Marvel’s Spider-Man. On top of those titles, Media Molecule’s Dreams is expected to come out next year.
