PlayStation Plus June 2018 Free Games: What to Expect Next Month

PlayStation Plus subscribers can look forward to a new month’s worth of free games to add to their PlayStation Plus Instant Game Collection, because June’s right around the corner. While you can still pick up the May 2018 PS Plus games, it’s about time to gear up for PlayStation Plus June 2018 titles to roll around, and the announcement should be coming any day now. Here’s a quick look at what we can look forward to for June, the thick of summer.

PlayStation Plus June 2018 Free Games: When To Expect June’s Free Games Announcement

Typically, Sony will announce the new month’s games at the same time, which usually lands on the last Wednesday of the month. That means it’s May 30 this time around, and that’s just two days away. It should arrive at 11:30 AM ET. You can check out the official PlayStation Blog for details once it all goes live.

PlayStation Plus June 2018 Free Games: May’s Selection

As you know, the free game rotation changes each month, and May had a pretty nice selection of free stuff, including Beyond: Two Souls for PlayStation 4 owners. May’s free PlayStation Plus games were as follows:

PlayStation 4

  • Beyond: Two Souls
  • Rayman Legends

PlayStation 3

  • Risen 3: Titan Lords
  • Eat Them!

PlayStation Vita

  • King Oddball (crossbuy with PS3 and PS4)
  • Furmins

While we don’t know exactly what kind of games will be available for June’s lineup, the interactive story theme may very well continue with some sort of adventure title such as The Order: 1886 for PlayStation 4, as Until Dawn has already been available earlier in the year. Ready at Dawn’s excellent cinematic story release was a fantastic example of what can be done within the genre, and it would be a nice palate cleanser after the heady and absolutely mindblowing Detroit: Become Human.

That’s what it appears that some eagle-eyed Redditors are predicting for the new game lineup, but we’ll have to wait and see when the announcement shows up, as usual, on May 30. Make sure you clear your calendar for later this week. If you’re ready for a whole new selection of games to play, check back in at VGR, when we’ll keep you updated with the final listing when it’s available.
