PlayStation Plus October 2018 Free Games: When To Expect October’s Free Games Announcement
Usually, the announcement for PlayStation Plus free games takes place on the last Wednesday of the month. That means that we will probably find out October’s free games list officially on September 26th, most likely around 4:30 and 5:00 pm BST/11.30-12.00 EST. The announcement is always posted on the PlayStation blog.

PlayStation Plus October 2018 Free Games: October Predictions
Now let’s get into our predictions for October. One of the most highly anticipated games coming out in November is Fallout 76. For this reason, we think it is possible that a Fallout title might be included in the list of free games for October. This would break the mold, since this hasn’t happened before. Our guess would be Fallout 4, both because it was released for PS4 and because it also took place in a northeastern state, but Fallout 3 on PS3 would be a great choice as well.
Another possibility is a Darksiders game, since we have Darksiders 3 due to release on November 27th. Both Darksiders II: Deathinitive Edition and the original Darksiders have been featured through PS Plus for free before, so we could imagine either one being featured again.
With Just Cause 4 coming out early in December, a Just Cause title could be featured as well. Just Cause 3 was featured last August, and Just Cause 2 was featured way back in 2012. As with the Darksiders titles, we could see either of these being offered for free once more.
A further possibility is ARK: Survival Evolved. The ARK: Extinction DLC is releasing on November 6th, so this would be a superb time to offer the action-packed survival game for free.
For Vita, there is nothing coming out until December, so it is anyone’s guess what will be featured for October by PS Plus. So our guess is a shot in the dark, but one idea we have is Bad Apple Wars. This visual novel came out in 2015 overseas, but only became available in the US in 2017. Since then, it has received a lot of acclaim for its art and story, but has not yet been featured for free for PS Plus members.
